Hey everyone, something struck me about the obituary for Rickey Jerome Smith. It got me thinking about how sometimes an obituary might not tell us the whole story about someone's life or death, especially if there are unanswered questions or complex circumstances surrounding it. While it's clear from the Milwaukee Homicide Database that his passing wasn't classified as a homicide, it doesn't necessarily close the door on a broader discussion about how we document and remember those we lose. It's a sobering reminder that not every unresolved death is sinister; sometimes, the mysteries remain because not all families push for public clarity, preferring privacy in their grief. Rickey's journey and the love his family held for him are central, regardless of the details we're left without. It's a delicate balance between seeking truth and respecting privacy. Thoughts? Sending love and peace to all who knew him. ??
