Hey everyone,
I’ve been following Cynthia Lemon’s case, and it’s just unimaginable what her family must be going through—losing both Cynthia and her mother within such a short time. One thing that I’ve been thinking about is how the community can rally together to support families like Cynthia’s in these trying times.
I’ve read that Cynthia was so excited about her future, studying nursing and wanting to help others. It just makes this senseless act all the more tragic, knowing her dreams and potential were ripped away. It's also been tough for the community; there were four homicides in six hours that day alone. It’s heart-wrenching to see this level of violence around us.
I wish there were more community initiatives or support systems in place that could help provide comfort and aid to the families affected by such tragedies. I know catching the person responsible won’t bring Cynthia back, but I truly hope that any information that can lead to an arrest gets shared quickly. Her family deserves justice and peace, as impossible as that seems right now.
If anyone here lives in Milwaukee or has ideas on community support, I’d love to hear them. Sending love and strength to everyone feeling the impact of this. ?
Stay safe out there, and remember to hold your loved ones close.
