Just came across the case of George Howard, and it’s just so gut-wrenching to think about how a young boy who was simply visiting friends didn’t make it home because of a senseless act of violence. Being from Chicago myself, I remember how turbulent 2012 was with all the news of gang violence, but knowing that a 15-year-old was caught in the crossfire really hits home. The ongoing gang conflicts and illegal firearms issue in the city have been devastating, and it feels like there's no easy solution. My heart goes out to George's family and everyone else affected—hoping for more awareness and action to prevent these tragedies from happening again in our communities. Has anyone heard if there have been any new developments or initiatives in Bronzeville to tackle this issue since then?
