I was so saddened to read about Daniel “Diddle” Zillmer’s passing and the tragic events surrounding it. I can’t help but keep thinking about the community’s loss, especially as it grapples with the sudden absence of someone who seemed to have such a positive impact. It’s particularly difficult to reconcile his life experiences, from serving in the Army to mentoring young people in shooting sports, with how he left this world. It's clear he touched many lives. Imagining the shock his family must be feeling is just overwhelming. My thoughts are with his daughters and Sharon during this incredibly difficult time. It's always hard to understand why such things happen, especially to someone who's been a pillar in the community for so long. I hope they’re surrounded by love and support as they work through this profound loss.
