Has anyone else been thinking about the impact of this tragedy on the local businesses? It's just awful that this senseless violence has not only taken the lives of Benitaz Pinkin and Kentrell Malone but also brought fear and potential financial strain to small business owners nearby. I can't imagine opening up shop every day with the reminder of what happened. It's incredible how resilient the owner of "Art It Up Airbrushing" must be to keep going. And huge respect to Tom Manske at "Discount Auto Sales" for stepping up and helping with the investigation. It really shows the strength and unity of the community, but it's just so sad they have to deal with this in the first place. My thoughts are definitely with everyone affected.
Hey everyone,
I've been following the tragic murder of Benitaz Pinkin, and I can't stop thinking about the impact on the local businesses like "Art It Up Airbrushing" and "Discount Auto Sales." It's such a terrifying reminder of how crime can ripple through a community, affecting innocent bystanders and their livelihoods. The owner of "Art It Up Airbrushing" must be devastated, having their dreams literally shattered just months after opening.
What really strikes me is how the local business community rallied together despite this horrific event. Tom Manske providing surveillance footage from his shop to help the investigation shows just how tight-knit and supportive folks are when it comes to trying to bring justice for Benitaz and Kentrell. It’s clear the neighborhood is striving to stand together in the face of senseless violence, but it’s truly unsettling to think about how fragile safety feels right now.
Anyone else have thoughts on how we might support local businesses or the community during such difficult times? It's a reminder that we all need to be watching out for each other.
Stay safe, everyone.
