I’ve been following Deanna Buse’s case and something that really struck me was the way the prosecution used that film during the trial. I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it must have been for Deanna’s family and friends to sit through that in court. It seems like such a powerful but also painful piece of evidence. I keep thinking about the toll this kind of thing must take on a family who’s already gone through so much. I'm grateful the film helped secure convictions, but I wish Deanna’s loved ones never had to endure that experience. Sending thoughts to everyone impacted by her loss.
