I've been thinking a lot about the unfortunate role that Paul Foster played in Michael Walsh's murder. It's shocking to realize how someone can be manipulated or influenced to such an extent that they become complicit in taking a life. While a lot of the focus has been on Rollness and Binder, Foster's involvement is a grim reminder of the importance of understanding the company we keep. I remember reading that he was trying to gain favor with the Hells Angels, which desperately makes me wonder just how far someone would go for acceptance. Foster's cooperation during the trial, eventually confessing his part, does show some sliver of remorse or maybe fear? His sentence seems reflective of his late-stage cooperation, but it's sad to think about the time lost, especially for Walsh's family who had to endure years of heartache without answers. I really hope this serves as a deterrent for others who might be tempted to get involved in such dangerous affiliations, realizing it’s never worth the devastating consequences.
