Just came across this case and can't stop thinking about the complexities involved. It's chilling to realize that Nikki Gardner-Edwards trusted someone who turned out to be capable of such a heinous act. I was particularly struck by the fact that investigators were able to use photo data from her phone to locate her body. It really shows how crucial technology can be in solving cases like this, but it also makes me think about the personal tragedy behind those photos—likely meant to capture happy moments. My thoughts go out to her family and friends, who not only lost someone they loved, but also had to face such a dark side of human nature. It’s a poignant reminder of the importance of trusting our instincts around the people we meet online and elsewhere.
