Does anyone here remember the efforts the community made back in 2012 to address the violence in Woodlawn? I’ve been reading about the tragic loss of David L. Loggins and it's serving as a grim reminder of how intense things were back then. I know local organizations were working hard to create safe spaces for families and youth, but it seems like there were so many obstacles in the way, especially with the rampant gang activity. I hope that David’s family has found some solace over the years. If anyone remembers any particular initiatives or ways the community tried to come together back then, I’d love to hear about them. It’s important to remember these efforts and continue learning from them as we strive to create safer neighborhoods today.
