I’ve been following the case of Demetrius Richard Thomas, and something that really stands out to me is how impactful community awareness campaigns could be for his case. It’s been over a decade, and I'm sure there are people in Phoenix who might have seen or heard something back in 2012 but simply don't know how crucial their info might be. It’s so important for the community to keep these cases alive in public consciousness. I often think that even a small local vigil or event could spark memories or lead someone to come forward with new information. My heart goes out to Demetrius's family—living with unanswered questions must be incredibly difficult. If anyone in the Phoenix area knows about any community efforts to bring attention to unsolved cases like Demetrius’s, please share. Spreading the word is essential, and any little bit helps.
