Has anyone been following the Howard trial closely? I’ve been really struck by the testimony shared during the proceedings, especially the emphasis on methamphetamine's role in the case. It’s honestly just so sad to think about how drugs can cause such a drastic spiral, leading to acts of violence that take lives and shatter families. I don’t understand how something as devastating as this can be prevented moving forward, but my heart goes out to the loved ones of both Jason Benton and Allen Collins. They seemed like good people who deserved so much more. Vancouver and Portland communities have been through a lot, and I hope there’s some healing for everyone involved. Such a heavy and emotional case.
