Hey everyone, I just can't stop thinking about Nathaniel's story and how senseless it feels. I was reading through the trial details and something that stands out to me is the issue with mental health being used as part of Bruce Fanning’s defense. It's just so difficult to wrap my head around. Raising questions here – does a below-average IQ and anxiety truly explain or excuse what Fanning did? I mean, I understand what the defense was trying to argue, but taking someone’s life like that... it's just unimaginable. Nathaniel was clearly in the wrong place at the wrong time, and knowing their plea didn't stop the conviction brings some sense of justice, but it certainly doesn’t bring Nathaniel back. I can’t help but think of Nathaniel’s family dealing with all this, his colleagues, the kids he worked with. It’s awful to think about how many lives were changed forever. I keep wondering if there were missed signs or a point where things could have turned out differently. My heart goes out to all who knew him. What are your thoughts? Do you think the verdict was fair given the circumstances? Peace and healing to everyone impacted.

Has anyone else been following the community's response in Bothell and Belfair since Nathaniel Joseph Rosa's tragic death? It's been so moving to see how the people he touched are coming together to honor his memory. I read about how the staff and families at Woodmoor Elementary School started a scholarship fund in his name to support students with disabilities, reflecting his dedication to helping those kids every day. It's a testament to the kind of person he was—always thinking about others and leaving a positive mark. It’s just so heart-wrenching to imagine the ripple effects of his loss, but also inspiring to see how his legacy continues to foster kindness and support in his community. Keeping his family in my thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
