I was reading about the tragic loss of Arturo Marcial-Alvarez and something that's really haunting me is how young everyone involved is. It's devastating to see how a young life was taken, and the lives of those around him, including the suspects, are irrevocably changed too. Arturo was just 19, barely an adult, and the suspects are no older than him. I'm finding it hard to wrap my head around what drives such violence among youth. It's truly frightening to think about teens caught up in these dangerous circles. I can't imagine the pain Arturo's family must be going through, knowing that their son's life was stolen so senselessly. I really hope justice is served and that maybe there's a glimmer of hope for some kind of change or intervention in young people's lives to prevent such tragedies in the future. Thoughts are with Arturo's loved ones.

It’s scary to think about how they positioned her van, all of it so calculated. And at just 20 years old, she's facing serious charges. This entire situation just makes me reflect on those split-second decisions that can alter lives forever. Hoping justice is served for Arturo and his loved ones can find some semblance of peace in the midst of such a devastating loss.
