Hey all,
I've been following the Tracy Sehmel case and was really struck by the part about his son. Tracy had just dropped his son off at a relative's place in Auburn on January 1st. I can't stop thinking about what that child must be going through right now. Losing a parent is always tragic, but under such violent circumstances and at such a young age... my heart really goes out to the family. I imagine those last moments together are now etched into his son's memory forever. It's gut-wrenching to think about how someone could do this and how many lives are affected by it.
If there's any silver lining to this terrible situation, it's comforting to know that Tracy was trying to rebuild his life and reconnect with his loved ones. I truly hope someone comes forward with information that helps bring some closure to his family and gets justice for Tracy.
Stay safe, everyone. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight.
It's truly disturbing how often our pasts can overshadow the strides we make to become better people. Tracy Sehmel might not have lived a perfect life, but who among us has? What's deeply concerning to me is the timeframe between when he dropped off his son and when his car was towed. Those days, especially with the New Year, must be filled with potential clues that could help solve this mystery.
Having lived in the area, I'm wondering if anyone noticed any unusual activity or unfamiliar faces around 97th Street and Sheridan Avenue during that time. Sometimes the smallest details can crack a case wide open. My heart goes out to Tracy's family, especially his son, who must be dealing with an unimaginable loss. Hoping the detectives get the breakthrough they need and justice is served. Please, if anyone out there knows something, even if it seems insignificant, reach out to the authorities. Every tip could be a vital piece of the puzzle.
