Has anyone else been thinking about the role that the Cedar Room nightclub might have played in the tragic events leading to Robert Baker's death? I'm trying to wrap my head around how public places, like clubs or bars, can sometimes become hotspots for such devastating incidents. Surveillance footage showed that Gates was outside the club before the shooting, which makes me wonder if there were any red flags that night. Could there have been more security, or perhaps some kind of intervention that might have changed the outcome? My heart goes out to the Baker family, especially when it seems like a night out ended in such a senseless tragedy. It's a painful reminder of how fragile life is and the need for better safety measures in places meant for fun and relaxation. Anyone else have thoughts on how venues might help prevent such incidents?
Has anyone else been looking into Christopher Gates' background? I've been following the Robert Baker case pretty closely, and it's disturbing to see someone with such a violent history being able to possess a firearm. I realize the legal system has its flaws, but this just seems like such a failure somewhere down the line. How did someone like Gates, already on federal probation, manage to have access to a gun at all?
To think of Robert's family, especially Budda Baker, dealing with this loss while knowing it might have been preventable—it's beyond frustrating. They deserve answers and closure, and it’s upsetting that it’s taking this long. This case really makes you question how many other individuals with similar profiles are slipping through the cracks, posing risks to our communities.
Sending thoughts to Robert's family as they endure this painful time. I hope they find some peace and justice in all of this.
