I’ve been reflecting on how the media covered the shooting of Horace Lorenzo Anderson Jr. during CHOP. It's hard not to think about whether public perception could have influenced how swiftly justice was served. Marcel Long was on the run for a year—how does someone just vanish like that? It makes you question the challenges law enforcement faced during that tumultuous time. Anderson's disappearance seemed like it should have been a top priority from the start. I can’t even imagine the anguish his family went through, knowing the person responsible was still out there. It's a somber reminder of the chaos within the CHOP zone and the broader unsettling realities of 2020.
