I came across the Kenneth L. Snulligan case and can't help but think about the pressures and dangers that people face when they are suspected of talking to authorities. Living in a place where you might constantly have to look over your shoulder is unimaginable for most of us. The risk of being caught in the crossfire of gang violence is a reality for too many on the West Side, and it's a harsh reminder of how critical community and law enforcement collaboration is in tackling these issues. While nothing can bring back Kenneth, I hope his story encourages more conversations about creating safer neighborhoods. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones during what must be an incredibly difficult time.
