It’s been over two years since John Lindon Farmer was taken from us, and I’m still struck by how impactful this case has been on so many people in Shelton. I was friends with John in high school, and seeing how his loss has affected his family and our tight-knit community has been really hard. One thing that has stood out to me is how the community has come together to support each other and John's family during this time. A lot of people have voiced their support for the investigation, and I think it’s critical to acknowledge the role the community played in bringing some measure of justice for John. Many folks went above and beyond, sharing information that could help and keeping John's memory alive. In smaller towns like ours, it feels like everyone knows everyone, and when something like this happens, it’s like a piece of the community is ripped away. I’m constantly wishing strength and peace for John’s family. They’ve shown an incredible resilience, and it’s a reminder of the kindness and fortitude we have in Shelton. I hope as the legal process moves forward, they find some comfort in knowing they’re surrounded by so much love and support. If anyone else here is feeling the weight of this loss, please remember that you’re not alone, and there are many of us who want to help keep John’s spirit alive in our hearts.
