Hi everyone, just felt the need to share something I've been thinking about regarding Elias Salazar's tragic death. It's just incredibly sad and heart-wrenching to see such a young life cut short due to something so senseless. It makes me wonder about how accessible these firearms are and why they somehow ended up in the hands of kids. What I've been really struck by is how Elias's friends must be feeling. Imagine being there, witnessing it all happen. It's a trauma I can't begin to fathom. They're so young, yet they're faced with this overwhelming guilt and confusion. I hope they're getting the support they so desperately need right now. That being said, if anyone here is local and knows more about whether there's counseling or support groups being organized for these young people, please share. I think creating a safe space for them to process their feelings could really make a difference. This case is a solemn reminder of why we need to have serious conversations about youth and gun safety. Let's honor Elias by making sure our communities are safer for everyone.
