Hey everyone, I just can't stop thinking about how terrifying it must have been for Gabriel's friends and family when those shootings took place at his memorial. It's one thing to lose someone you love in such a senseless way, but to have violence erupt during a time meant for mourning is just unimaginable. The level of fear and distress they must have felt—trying to honor Gabriel, only to be thrust back into chaos. I feel like the increased police presence is well overdue in Everett, given the surge in violence. It's unsettling to know that the issue has escalated to the point where a task force is necessary. This level of aggression makes it seem like no place is safe anymore, even spots that are meant to be sacred and filled with love and remembrance. I deeply hope Gabriel's family finds the justice and peace they deserve. It's unimaginable the layers of pain they're dealing with, and I just wish people could come together to help solve this case, not only for Gabriel but for the safety of the entire community.
