I'm really struck by how little justice Oscar R. Spatch received after his tragic murder. It's upsetting to think about his family being left without answers or closure. One thing that piques my curiosity is how he was ambushed so suddenly. From what I've gathered, it was as if someone knew the train had to stop for water at that exact spot north of Junction City. Was there perhaps advance knowledge or some sort of inside information about the train's schedule or route among the strikers? It's so frustrating that after all these years, no one has come forward with more information. My heart goes out to Detective Spatch's loved ones who must still be seeking answers. ?
