Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact on the families of the victims in the Mountain Auto-Truck Parts Store tragedy. I can't imagine the grief they’ve been living with all these years. In particular, I’ve read Rufus Hamilton’s family had so much to deal with, losing him so senselessly. From what I’ve gathered, Rufus was a devoted father and friend to many. It's hard to fathom how quickly a simple argument could snowball into something so destructive. Given Bevins’ age and the whole dynamic of the altercation, I wonder if any previous tensions existed or if this just escalated horribly on the spot. Anger management and mental health support could have possibly prevented the tragedy. My heart goes out to the Hamiltons and all others affected. It's a reminder of how fragile life can be and the importance of seeking help before anger spirals out of control. Hoping the community has found some peace over the years. Would love to hear your thoughts on how small towns cope with such unimaginable acts of violence.
