I’ve been following the case of Brian McCluney and Justin Walker, and something that stands out to me is the condition of McCluney's boat. I've read that his family mentioned past mechanical issues, and I wonder how thoroughly these were examined before their trip. It's understandable that people want to trust their equipment, especially if it's been reliable before, but I can't help but think if this was a known issue, a more comprehensive inspection could have potentially prevented this tragedy. Did McCluney ever talk about plans to address those issues, or were there recent repairs done that might not have held up? It's such a grim reminder of how a seemingly small mechanical problem can escalate. My thoughts go out to both families, and I really hope they find some answers someday.
