I've been following Rush's case since the beginning, and the timeline bothers me. How did his belongings end up on opposite sides of the lake? It makes me wonder if something more than an accidental drowning might have happened. The gap between when the jet-skiers spotted him and when his walker was found seems too short for him to have gotten into that much trouble without some sort of intervention. Could someone have seen him struggling and tried to help, only for something to go wrong?
The found belongings feel like pieces of a puzzle that don't fit neatly. Rush's wallet and phone in the water suggest haste, or maybe an attempt by someone to make it look accidental. Why would he leave such important items behind if he wasn't somehow forced to? I'm curious what others think about this angle, especially those who know the area. Could the lake currents have played a role, or is there a chance someone else was involved?
Has anyone else been confused about the timeline of events in Rush's case? I've been trying to piece it all together and the timing seems really tight. If Rush was seen around 10:00 a.m. near the edge of the lake with his walker, and then spoke to the jet-skiers in the middle of the lake channel, I'm curious about how long that would have taken him. Paddling with just a boogie board seems pretty slow, especially since he was using a walker on land.
Also, did anyone come across any details about the distance between Lakeview Marina and where the boogie board was eventually found? It's just odd to me how these items are placed so separately—walker on one side, board on the other. It makes you wonder if someone else might've been involved or if the current could have moved everything around. I hope someone has some insights or maybe knows more about the lake's conditions that day.
