Hey everyone, has anyone else been following the recent protest about Cassandra Boskofsky's disappearance? I think what struck me the most is how the protesters used those red handprints on their mouths. It's such a powerful and haunting image associated with the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Movement.
To me, it feels like it really encapsulates the silence and inaction that's been surrounding Cassandra's case for so long. I can't get over the fact that nearly five years have passed with so little information. It's frustrating beyond words.
If anyone knows more about how those involved with the protest are organizing or how we can support their efforts, please share. It seems like this story is not getting the attention it deserves, and every bit helps to keep these discussions going. Let's not let this fade away from the public eye.
Has anyone else noticed how often these cases get ignored, especially when it involves Indigenous women? It’s infuriating. The protest outside APD HQ was such a powerful moment, seeing everyone united with red handprints and demanding action for Cassandra Boskofsky. I'm really curious about how the community can help, aside from protests. Maybe a collective effort to press for an independent review or something? It’s frustrating that they haven’t shared any real updates in years. Holding out hope that this brings some attention back to her case. If anyone has ideas on where we can help amplify voices or even initiative searches somehow, we definitely need to get involved. Thoughts?
