Hey everyone, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on how the community rallied around Gabbi’s family after her tragic passing. It was truly moving to see how everyone came together for the memorial at the McCoy Athletic Center. It feels like her vibrant spirit brought people closer, even in such a sad time. The turnout was incredible, and you could really feel the love and support for her family and friends. I think moments like these remind us of the strength a close-knit community can have in helping each other heal. If anyone attended and wants to share their thoughts or feelings, I'd love to hear how it's affected you too. ?
Has anyone here attended a memorial or vigil for Gabbi? I recently read about her story, and it truly touched my heart. It's clear she was deeply loved by those around her. I’ve seen pictures of the memorial outside the McCoy Athletic Center, and it's so moving to see the flowers, notes, and basketballs left in her honor. It just goes to show how much she impacted everyone in her community with her kindness and spirit. I can't even begin to imagine the grief her family and friends are going through—sending them all my love and strength. If any of you have personal memories or stories about Gabbi, I'd love to hear how she touched your lives.
I can't stop thinking about the role that the McCoy Athletic Center must have played in Gabbi's life. It's like these walls hold countless memories - the sounds of cheering, sneakers squeaking on the court, and her laughter echoing during practices. It seems fitting yet so terribly sad that the same place meant to celebrate her achievements would also become a gathering spot for those mourning her loss. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for her friends and family to walk into that space filled with both joy and sorrow. Sending love to everyone affected by this tragedy, especially to the sister who has to carry this heavy burden. It's a stark reminder of how crucial it is to prioritize kindness and support for one another during unimaginable times.
