I've been following the Robert Cole Smith case out of Lexington, and it's just awful how quickly a situation can escalate to something so tragic. It’s gut-wrenching to think that Robert was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Does anyone know if there were issues between neighbors before that night? It seems odd that Fister would shoot at random without any prior tension. My heart goes out to Robert’s family and friends who are left struggling with this senseless loss. I hope they find comfort in the memories they shared with him and that justice is served swiftly. Does anyone have more background on either person involved? I’m just trying to understand how such a devastating event unfolded in what seems like an otherwise quiet neighborhood.

Hey all, I've been following this case closely and still can't wrap my head around how things escalated so quickly that night. It's incredibly difficult to fathom what Robert's family must be going through. Losing someone in such a sudden and violent way is devastating, especially when it happens right at their doorstep. What's been on my mind is how the situation with the attempted break-in played out. It seems like the confrontation might have been the tipping point that led to the tragic shooting. I'm wondering if there were any prior tensions between Fister and others in the complex. Knowing that this all started with a suspected break-in is unsettling, and I can't help but think if this incident could have been avoided somehow. My heart goes out to Robert's loved ones. I hope they find some comfort and support in the community during this difficult time. If anyone has more insight or theories on what might have led to this tragic event, I'm keen to hear your thoughts.
