I’ve been reading about Daquan Fulgham’s case, and I'm struck by how young everyone involved is. It’s just so tragic all around. Andre Hilliard was only 17 back then—practically still a kid. I can't stop thinking about how one decision on that day changed the course of so many lives. Five years of probation might seem light, but can you imagine carrying the weight of this incident for the rest of your life? I’m curious, though—why do you think the charges and sentences varied so much among the defendants? Was it mainly due to their individual roles, or were there other factors at play? It's just so devastating for Daquan's family and friends, not to mention the complicated emotions that Hilliard and his family must be experiencing.
