Hey folks, I've been following various unsolved cases around Chicago, and I've got to say, Leonard L. Phillips's murder has been weighing on my mind. It's just so frustrating to think about the families who never get the closure they need. I was going through the Chicago Police Department's datasets, and it's unsettling how many cases remain unsolved from that period. Leonard's case, like so many others, seems lost in the numbers. I can't help but wonder what more could have been done if there was better support for law enforcement back then. Did the rise in violence create an overwhelming atmosphere for the police that year?
Also, is anyone here familiar with how the CLEAR system works in terms of solving ongoing investigations? It seems like such a crucial tool, yet the privacy measures make it hard to track progress, or maybe that's its purpose. I really feel for Leonard's family, not knowing must be so incredibly tough. Why do you think some of these cases go cold, and what could be changed to bring justice for Leonard and others like him?
