I’ve been following the case involving Lupe McGranahan and her family, and it’s been truly unsettling to think about how someone could do such a thing to their own family. I keep thinking about Lupe and how she was clearly so cherished by those around her. By all accounts, she seemed to light up the lives of everyone in her community through her work and her time at the church. It's especially distressing to contemplate the situation when there’s somebody within your family network that would commit an act so terrible. Trust within a family is sacred, and to have that shattered must be unbearably difficult for those left behind. I can't even imagine what Lupe's friends and surviving family members are going through right now. This tragedy affects not only them but also the entire community that knew and loved her. Let’s hope justice is served and that this community can begin to heal from this terrible loss. Sending all my thoughts to everyone touched by this tragedy.
