It's difficult to put into words the emotions surrounding Angela R. Carey and her family's senseless murder. Coming across this case, I was deeply moved by the strength of Angela’s children who witnessed such a tragedy. I can’t imagine what it must have been like for them, being present in the house during those terrifying moments, yet somehow finding the resilience to carry on. From what I’ve read, the community in Morgantown was very supportive, rallying around the children and remaining family members. I hope they continue to find love and support from those around them. If anyone here has experience with helping children through trauma or knows of resources that could assist them, I think it would be wonderful to share. These kids have gone through unimaginable experiences, and they deserve every bit of support we can give. My thoughts are with them as they navigate life after such a profound loss.

Hey everyone, I've been trying to wrap my head around the testimony from Bridgette Dockery, the neighbor who heard the gunshots and made the call to the police. It's hard to fathom what she went through hearing such a horrific event unfold just next door. I read that Bridgette mentioned seeing Joseph Carey outside the house before the police arrived. This is just haunting, knowing she witnessed such a pivotal and tragic moment. I can't imagine how this must have impacted not only her but the entire neighborhood. It’s a tight-knit community, and I’m sure hearing those shots and seeing Joseph in the yard would be something that stays with her forever. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragic event. It's a chilling reminder of how life can change in an instant. What do you all think about the communal impact of such tragedies? It’s just so difficult to comprehend the ripples these events send through close communities like theirs. Stay safe everyone.
