Hey everyone, I can’t stop thinking about that precious little boy, Brandon Malone Jr., and how this has affected the entire Highview community. A lot of us here are parents or have young ones in our lives, and this really hits home. I’m curious if any of you have more information about how the neighborhood has been coping since this tragedy? I read that this area was generally considered safe and quiet. Have there been any community initiatives or gatherings following the vigil in Shively Park? I'm also interested in hearing if anyone knows more about the No More Red Dots campaign and their involvement in addressing gun violence in this area. It can be easy to feel helpless in situations like this, but knowing there are people trying to make a difference offers a bit of hope. What can locals do to support these efforts or get involved themselves? My heart goes out to Brandon’s family, and I hope we see some answers soon. The story of how he was the tiniest on his football team, yet his heart was the biggest, sticks with me. It’s so unfair that this bright light was taken so soon. Stay safe, everyone.
