I've been following Zach's case and felt the need to share my thoughts. It's just so unbelievable that someone as kindhearted and brave as Zach could be taken from us so suddenly. What really stands out to me is how he died protecting his loved ones. It speaks volumes about his character.
I can't help but think about how he was known as "The Wizard of All" among his friends. It sounds like he was truly a unique spirit who brought a lot of joy to those around him. It's just gut-wrenching that his life ended so soon. My heart goes out especially to his partner, Tahina, and the rest of his family. I hope they can find some solace in knowing how deeply he cared for them and how his actions were so selfless in those final moments.
It's so frustrating that there haven't been any leads or suspects announced yet. If anyone has more insight, please share. Keeping Zach's story alive will hopefully bring some answers and justice to his family.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how Zach Smith was genuinely passionate about Dungeons & Dragons and gaming. Isn’t it amazing how these hobbies bring people together and create communities? I feel like Zach must have had such a positive impact on those around him, not just through his work but also by sharing his interests. Gaming can be such a great escape, and it makes me sad to think about how his fellow gamers and friends are dealing with this loss.
From what I gather, the way he lived his life and ultimately how he died - trying to protect those he cared about - speaks so much to his character. It's evident he was a person of immense courage and love, and that doesn’t just disappear. Hopefully, those who played and connected with him in those spaces continue to feel his presence. If anyone has recommendations on how communities can honor Zach through his passions, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
