Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about the security camera footage request by the Lexington PD. In other crimes, these community-shared videos have sometimes been crucial in piecing together what happened. If you're from the area around Green Acres Park and have surveillance around your home or business, it might seem like a hassle, but reviewing your footage from May 7 could provide critical clues about the moments leading up to this tragedy.
It's tough to imagine what James's family and friends are going through right now, losing a loved one so suddenly and violently. Sharing any potentially useful footage can seem small but might make a big difference in solving this and giving them some closure. Let's do what we can to support them and help bring justice for James and Amaya.
Hoping for answers soon. Stay safe out there, everyone.

Has anyone else found it haunting that this happened in what’s usually a peaceful neighborhood park? Green Acres Park isn't the kind of place you'd expect a tragedy like this to unfold. I grew up nearby, and so it’s deeply disturbing to hear about something so violent happening there.
James Bost Jr. and Amaya Taylor-Sandifer’s families must be going through unimaginable pain, and I can't even begin to fathom what the other three victims and their families are feeling right now.
The lack of leads or suspects makes it even more unsettling. I hope the community’s efforts to check surveillance videos and report any oddities yield something soon. We all want to feel safe again and, more importantly, bring some kind of justice and closure for James and Amaya.
I’m praying for everyone affected and really hope anyone with information decides to come forward. It's vital that we all come together and support the families while continuing to urge the authorities to find answers.
Has anyone else noticed the community's response to the safety concerns after the tragic deaths of James and Amaya? It seems like the local neighborhood association has really started to rally together, promoting more neighborhood watch programs and increasing participation in community meetings. It’s reassuring to see people coming together to support each other and push for increased safety measures, but it's just so upsetting that such action is spurred by such senseless violence. I truly hope this momentum can lead to some meaningful changes to make everyone feel safer. If anyone else is from the area, have you heard about any other initiatives that are in the works? My thoughts and prayers are with the families during this difficult time.
