I recently came across the tragic case of Chief Gregory Lynn Lange's murder, and one detail that caught my attention was how small acts of courage can have profound consequences. Chief Lange rushed out to help a neighbor in distress, not as a duty-bound officer but as a compassionate individual stepping forward when needed. This just goes to show how deeply committed he was to protecting his community. Even though it’s been decades, I can’t imagine the courage it must have taken for his family to navigate life after such a devastating loss. From everything I’ve read, it seems like the town of Claremont really came together to support Susan and Christopher afterward. The strength and unity in the wake of such a horrific event is testament to the impact Chief Lange had on those around him. It's a reminder of the everyday heroes among us whose sacrifices often go unnoticed. My thoughts are with everyone who knew him and still feels his absence today.
