I’ve been following the discussion around Byron K. Phillips’ tragic death, and I just can’t stop thinking about the impact on those kids who were with him that day. I mean, they were just playing outside, completely innocent, and now they have to grow up with this traumatic memory. I can't imagine the emotional scars they must carry, knowing that their day of play ended in such a horror. It’s not just Byron’s family that has been affected, but his friends and the whole neighborhood, too. These kids need support and counseling, but resources are always limited in these communities. Is there any update or initiative being done to help them heal? This cycle of violence has to stop, but we also can't forget about helping those left behind to process and cope with what they've experienced. It’s so important for the community to come together to support these young ones, so they don’t become further victims of this ongoing violence.
