It's Christine's remarkable bravery that's been on my mind ever since I read about her case. It's truly humbling to think of her standing there, just a day after her birthday, and putting herself in harm's way to protect her daughter. I can't even begin to imagine the courage it took for her to confront someone who posed such a threat to her family. It breaks my heart to think about Anne and the guilt she might be carrying. I hope that in time she finds peace in knowing what a strong and loving person her mom was.
