I've been following this case closely and something that really stands out to me is how terrifyingly real the threat from within one's own circle can be. It sends chills down my spine thinking about how some of the suspects were actually customers of Corey Elder. It's just a reminder of how trust can be tragically misplaced. While we can't change the past, I hope that this case draws attention to the risks surrounding illegal drug-related activities, not just for potential buyers, but for those entangled in the process, willingly or not. This whole situation is a sobering example of how quickly and violently things can escalate. My heart goes out to Corey’s family and friends. I can’t begin to imagine the immense pain they must be experiencing, especially knowing that those they might have seen as mere acquaintances or customers were involved in something so devastating. It’s a reminder to us all about the importance of being vigilant and aware of the company we keep.
