I had to do a double-take when I heard about Jeremy Conley's case in Minneapolis. What strikes me most is the time of day this happened. Early in the morning, when the world is just waking up and supposed to be safe. I’ve walked by Powderhorn Park around the same time countless mornings, and it’s chilling to think something so tragic unfolded there. It’s got me wondering about those first responders who got the call. It’s their job, of course, but still, to witness such a scene must be incredibly tough. My heart goes out to Jeremy's family and friends. I hope there are witnesses who can come forward to help bring some justice and closure to this senseless tragedy.
