I've been thinking about the surveillance footage aspect of Rayan Baba's case, and it raises some puzzling questions. Surveillance cameras in parking lots can sometimes offer a lot of answers in these tragic situations, yet they can also lead to more questions than they solve. From what I understand, the footage played a crucial role in identifying when the suspects were with Rayan, but what about the quality of that footage? Surveillance isn't always clear, and I'm curious if there were any gaps or unclear angles that might have complicated the investigation. It's heartbreaking to consider how pivotal a few seconds of clear footage can be. My heart goes out to Rayan's family; I can't even begin to imagine their pain and the peace they're still searching for. It's in these moments we realize how much more critical it is to ensure that our campuses are safe spaces, equipped with reliable security measures.
