Has anyone else been following the details of the August 2016 Topeka case? It’s so deeply unsettling to think about what the victim's family and friends must be going through, especially when a life is taken and there's no one held accountable. I'm trying to understand the legal standards that led to the decision of no charges being filed. How often does an investigation conclude with such an outcome? It just feels like there's still so much left unanswered. My heart goes out to those who knew him. ? I've read a lot about arguments in self-defense cases, but it seems different when you're miles away and just reading online. Anyone have insights on similar past cases?
