I’ve been reading about Antrese Bland’s tragic death, and something that really struck me was how she exemplified resilience and determination, especially considering her ambitions to become a pharmacist. It breaks my heart to think about her dreams being cut short. Her dedication to education and the future she envisioned for herself and her baby really show what a bright and focused person she was. I can’t even begin to imagine how difficult it must be for her family, especially with all those baby gifts that were ready for her little one. It’s so important for us as a community to support families dealing with such profound loss, and I'm hoping we can come together to honor her memory by advocating for more resources and awareness around domestic violence. Does anyone know if there have been any local initiatives started in her memory? Sending love and strength to those who knew and loved Antrese.

I just can’t stop thinking about the neighbor, Linda Alexander, who saw Antrese just moments before everything happened. It must be so haunting to know you were one of the last people to see her alive. From what I've read, Antrese would often use Linda’s phone, so there was probably a sense of familiarity and trust between them. It's so surreal how one moment can be so normal and the next, everything changes forever. I hope Linda is finding support too. It’s a trauma all its own to be indirectly connected to such a tragedy, and I can only imagine how much this has affected her. Sending strength and love to all who knew Antrese—this is such a massive loss for so many. ?
