Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the counselor resources that the Tonganoxie High School brought in after Bradley's death, and I just want to express appreciation for the school taking care of their students’ mental health during such a tough time. From what I’ve heard and read, it seems like the school is going above and beyond to support the students and staff. Having a crisis team available can really make a difference, especially when dealing with the shock and grief of losing a classmate so suddenly.
To those who are in the community or have gone through similar situations in their own schools, how effective have you found these types of support to be? Were there specific things that really helped, or maybe areas that could have been improved? I'm just wondering how these measures have helped other communities heal and if there are lessons that can be learned as we all come to terms with this unspeakable tragedy.
Thoughts, anyone?
