I can't stop thinking about the impact Zavier's loss must have on his classmates at Olathe East High School. He never even got a chance to walk the halls as a freshman. Starting high school is such a pivotal moment, and I can't imagine how his friends are coping with such a sudden, senseless loss. It's like a shadow has been cast over what should have been a time of excitement and new beginnings. My heart goes out to all of Zavier's classmates who are trying to process this tragedy. I'm sure the school has resources in place to support them, but I hope they find the strength to lean on each other and remember the joyful moments they shared with him. If anyone here is from the Olathe area and has insights into how the community is rallying around these kids, I'd love to hear it. We can't let Zavier's story fade away.
