Hey everyone, I just wanted to share some thoughts after reading the memorial posts for Tyshon Anderson. It really struck me how his loved ones came together outside that apartment building to honor his memory. Amid such a terrible tragedy, seeing the community trying to uplift each other says a lot about the resilience of Tyshon's family and friends. It's tough to imagine the pain they're going through, especially knowing how much potential is lost when these tragedies happen. It also got me thinking about how important it is for us to address the root causes of the violence affecting so many young lives in Chicago. The systems that create these situations are complex, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to change them. I hope that Tyshon’s story stays in the spotlight as a call to action for more community resources and to provide young people with safe alternatives. To Tyshon's family and friends, if any of you read this, please know that there's a wider community keeping you in our thoughts and hoping for an end to this cycle. ? Keep holding each other close.
