Hey folks, I've been following the John's case from Tucumcari, and I can't stop thinking about how there are often gaps in the investigations of missing persons. It's like after the initial search efforts, cases can just sit stagnant, leaving families without answers for years. Has anyone else noticed how cases from smaller towns like Tucumcari seem to lack media attention? It’s almost as if they fall through the cracks due to fewer resources or simply because they don’t get the spotlight they need. This got me wondering, how can we as a community help bring more awareness to these lesser-known cases? Sharing on social media is one way, but does anyone know of other effective strategies to keep these cases in the public eye longer?

I’ve been following John Cates' case for a while and it’s baffling how little information is out there. One thing that sticks out to me is the location—Tucumcari isn’t a huge town, so how does someone just vanish without a trace? You would think more people might have seen something or come forward. I can’t imagine the frustration his family must feel. Does anyone here know if there were any local searches organized, or if any volunteer groups got involved early on? Sometimes community efforts can dig up things that official investigations might miss. I wonder if there are locals in Tucumcari who remember anything unusual around April 2020. Stay safe out there, everyone, and keep spreading the word.
