Hey everyone, I've been following the case of the tragic shooting on Birney Place, and something that keeps sticking with me is the impact on the local community. I read that the area where Rodney Phillips and Zoruan Harris were killed is pretty tight-knit, which makes this kind of violence even more devastating. I can’t even begin to imagine how the residents must feel, trying to return to normal life after such an event without real answers about what happened. What strikes me is how these incidents can shatter that sense of safety we all kind of take for granted in our neighborhoods. It’s hard to think about how those living nearby are coping, especially with so many still recovering from the injuries. If anyone here is local, it would be interesting to hear how the community is holding up and if there have been any gatherings or efforts to support each other in the aftermath. My thoughts are with Rodney and Zoruan’s families and all those affected. Let's hope for some solid leads soon. Stay safe, everyone.

Hey everyone, I was reflecting on the tragic events that unfolded on September 17, 2016, and I can't help but think about the families affected by this senseless violence. I recently read that the unfortunate incident claimed the lives of Scorpio-Rodney Alonzo Phillips and Zoruan Otto Harris, but it also injured seven others, including a young boy. My heart goes out to those families who had their worlds turned upside down that day. What's really concerning to me is the lack of detailed descriptions of the suspects. It's been years, and it seems like the community's help is crucial at this point. The MPD has even put out a $25,000 reward, which shows the desperation to bring those responsible to justice. Detective Todd Amis is leading the charge, but I wonder if they're getting the support they need from the locals. Does anyone here have any thoughts on what more could be done to encourage people to come forward with information? It's heartbreaking to see these families waiting for closure. Every bit helps, so if you have any suggestions or insights, please share. Let's hope we can someday find peace and justice for all those affected. Stay safe out there.
