I've been following the case of Aujee "Quick" Tyler, and one aspect that really stands out to me is the relationship he had with young people in his community. It's devastating to think about how someone like Tyler, who devoted so much time to mentoring and supporting youth, could end up in such a tragic situation. It seems like Tyler truly made an impact, especially on kids like Kaevon Sutton. From what's been shared in the testimonies, it sounds like Tyler had been a positive influence on Sutton, providing him with essentials like food and shelter. It's tough to reconcile that with the events that led up to the shooting. I keep thinking about how vulnerable our youth are, and how sometimes even those trying to help can find themselves in dangerous situations. I'm hoping more of Tyler's story and his efforts to uplift his community will be remembered, despite the tragic ending. Would love to hear others' thoughts on how we can better support young mentors like him to prevent such heartbreak in the future.
