Has anyone else been following the details about Kim Gooden’s murder case? Hearing about her death shook me, especially when considering the grim reality of domestic violence that this highlights. What's been bothering me is the timing. From what I've read, the authorities believe Kim was shot on the morning of August 12th, but her body wasn’t found until two days later on the 14th. That means she was there all alone for a whole 48 hours before anyone knew what happened to her. It breaks my heart to think that none of her friends or family knew to check on her until it was too late. It makes you wonder if there were any signs before this tragedy happened. Just thinking about those days and how her loved ones must feel knowing she was hurt and alone brings a tight knot in my stomach. If only something could’ve been done sooner. I hope that with the fundraiser and awareness efforts, warning signs of domestic violence are recognized before it’s too late for someone else. Any updates on the investigational side from locals or anyone following? It feels like there should be more to learn about what really happened and why.
