It's devastating to hear about Cindy Bahena's tragic death back in 2014. Logan Square, like many other areas in Chicago, was really struggling with gang violence and the broader safety issues back then. It's alarming how someone as young and full of potential as Cindy could lose their life just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I can't fathom what her family must be going through, having to cope with such a senseless loss. The ongoing violence in cities like Chicago is clearly not just a law enforcement issue but something that needs a concerted effort from the entire community. We need better support systems and preventive measures to keep our neighborhoods safe and ensure such unnecessary tragedies don't keep happening. My heart goes out to Cindy's loved ones and all those affected by the violence in our communities.
